Born and Raised on the Caspian Sea
Adam Darvish is a national healthcare executive who immigrated to the US at 18 all alone to learn English and attend undergraduate studies in NYC after he faced a bloody revolution as a freshman at a university in Tehran. Adam grew up in the Caspian sea region with both parents in the education field. He was raised with strong work ethics and values, and trained by parents who had a special love for diversity and inclusion and always offered support to families and people in need of help in their community. He has a love for nature and animals due to his upbringing and surroundings on the Caspian sea.

A Lifetime of Caring for People
Adam managed to learn English at Hofstra University in 3 months while attending undergraduate studies. He completed his undergraduate degree at Rutgers University in Electrical and Biomedical engineering and moved to Atlanta to continue his Master’s degree in the same field with a focus on Robotics.
Adam started his first official job as a lead Biomedical Engineer at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta in their Functional Electrical Stimulation research program on children with spina bifida. His passion for Healthcare and healing people started early on in his teenage years. He was recognized as a leader during his first job at the children’s hospital and his leadership skills became visible to healthcare leaders in Atlanta.
Adam came to Los Angeles to complete his Master’s in Public Health and Health Services Administration at UCLA to begin his dream of becoming a hospital CEO. His first CEO role was in Seattle and due to his love for West Hollywood, Adam returned to LA and became the CEO at a local hospital in Culver City and shortly after he was promoted to VP of Operations over 13 hospitals in California and three in Arizona where the CEOs reported to him. His gift and abilities to create a positive culture resulting in great quality outcomes as an engaged servant leader made him a name brand at the national health system that he worked for. He was promoted to officer level and is currently a Senior Vice President at a national Health System based in Nashville Tennessee.

Involvement in Politics
Adam became active politically in Sacramento and DC advocating for access to care for everyone from children to older adults at a time when our healthcare finance model did not support it. He then found himself in need of support after a SUV lost control on his residential street while speeding at over 100 mph and entering his property at 2 am. He found loopholes in the system after trying for two months to get help in removing from his property the SUV that nearly killed him. He has been a resident of West Hollywood for 27 years but that morning after the car crash, he felt the amazing culture and feel of a community when the neighbors and the fire department came back to check on him in the early morning hours while the accident was being broadcast on local television.
He committed to spend time in his neighborhood and listen to people and their issues that had not been resolved by City Hall and became a positive channel in bringing the residents closer to City Hall, Council Members, and the Sheriff's Station while trying to solve speeding car concerns and advocating for better lighting, speed humps, crosswalks, and posted speed limits on residential streets. He was appointed to Human Services Commission in 2021 and became a liaison to the Public Safety, Transportation and Planning Commissions.
Adam became a permanent people’s voice at City Council meetings by making public comments on residents' concerns. He is already a brand name at City Hall and known as an advocate for all due to his experience and years of public service from healing children with spinal cord injury and helping them walk again to serving as a licensed Nursing Administrator in San Francisco and Seattle, to hospital CEO and a leader that affected positive changes in our national health system delivery models.
